Dried Shiitake Mushroom
Premium dehydrated mushroom positioned for retail and culinary applications.
IDA Agro Products LLP is building a hill-friendly, decentralized food-processing model to reduce horticulture wastage and create shelf-stable, market-ready products from fruits, vegetables and mushrooms.

Farmers in hilly regions often deal with scattered production, small quantities, difficult terrain, high transport costs, weather disruption and limited markets for non-premium produce. IDA Agro is developing a practical processing system that works with these constraints rather than against them.
Our approach standardizes machines, drying, packaging, quality control, farmer aggregation and sales so that processing units can be replicated with a lower learning curve and immediate market access.
Our pilot portfolio demonstrates multi-product dehydration using micro quantities, creating shelf-stable ingredients for retail, institutional and B2B applications.

Dehydrated curry leaves and curry-leaf powder for kitchens and food businesses.

Apple, peas, coriander, onion, tomato, carrot, ginger, ber and other surplus produce.
Dehydration can reduce weight and volume by around 80–90%, making produce easier to transport from hill areas while extending usability and enabling wider markets.
Connect scattered farm output and non-premium produce into usable processing batches.
Crop-wise slicing, drying and moisture targets create repeatable quality.
Quality-controlled packaging converts fresh surplus into shelf-stable products.
B2B, institutional, retail and online channels expand access beyond local geography.
The pilot phase has validated processing capability, product acceptability and early B2B/D2C demand.
Targeting additional income realization from surplus and non-premium produce that currently has limited market access.
Planned direct employment for 15–20 local women and youth as the model scales.
Developing SOPs and documentation for district-level processing units suited to hill regions.

These photographs show apple pomace being processed through IDA Agro's dehydration system. The process demonstrates the broader value-addition opportunity: converting agricultural and food-processing material into shelf-stable ingredients and reducing avoidable waste.
